SPRING/SUMMER 2012 COLLECTION : “ WAY DOWN BELOW THE OCEAN”
This summer, PAINKILLER takes you on board to the exciting new world down at the ocean’s floor! Inspired by a classic science-fiction novel “20,000 Leagues Under The Sea” by French writer, Jules Vernes.
The story tells the adventure of Captain Nemo and the three protagonists: Ned Land (The harpoonist), Professor Pierre Aronax (French marine biologist) and his assistant, Conseil. Their travels in the avant-garde submarine called “The Nautilus”, takes them to numerous points in the world’s ocean, exploring a long-lost civilization sunken under the deep.
PAINKILLER EXHIBIT S/S 2012 collection features all time favorite pieces such as Poplin shirt, Jersey Tank, Denim shorts & etc. in ludic silk-screen prints “DIVE” and “NET” along with summer essentials: Pique Polo, Jersey button-down shirt, Marine Blouse, Linen Blazer & etc., mix&match with eye-catching dropped crotch pants in Tweed with Chiffon decoration, Plaid Flannel Blazer and Short shorts in Tweed. Ocean colour scene palette such as, White, Beige, Sky blue, Turquoise, Ultramarine, Duke blue to Navy represent the level of the ocean depth.
PAINKILLER ARCHETYPE S/S 2012 collection consists of sophisticated and highly-crafted items for example: Digital Hand-drawing Prints on Denim shirt, Summer Wool blazer decorated with copper colour studs and Egyptian cotton shirt with Brass chain on collar & etc. Ocean’s floor colour palette such as, Duke blue, Navy, Dark grey to Black illustrate the mysterious of the deep.
PAINKILLER OBJET S/S 2012 collection propose Tote bags and Rucksacks in “DIVE” and “NET” printed fabric with leather trim, Soft-finished leather Duo-clutch, Small leather messenger bag and 90×90 cm. digital-printed scarf.

For this winter, PAINKILLER retell the story of harlequin and his dark side.
Harlequin is a comic servant character in a checkered diamond costume, from the Italian Commedia dell’Arte.
His everlasting high-spirits and cleverness work to save him from several difficult situations.
Despite his humorous character, his name is originated from the word “Hellequin”,
a black-faced emissary of the devil, who made a mad pursuit across the skies or along the ground,chasing the damned souls of evil people to hell.
Harlequin and Hellequin, which one would you choose to be?

The collection is based on Arlequin’s costume. PAINKILLER creates color/material blocking in diamond shapes decorating the clothes. Sheer and rough-texture fabrics create intricate touch. Tenebrous color palette such as Black, Grey, Dark brown and Navy, enhance the devilish inspiration. This winter 11-12, Sharp graphical cut would be the new key-look! “Best friend” is inspired by one short story of M.R. Kukrit Pramoj called “Mom”.

“The collection retell Thai men’s image during the first years of Internationalization,at that time, Thai men were forced to wear European clothes for work and keep colorful tropical pieces for home.
S/S 2011, PAINKILLER mix and match them all in one outfit!
Thai inspired cut blazers over traditional oxford shirts paired with vibrant silk trousers. Piping details of Thai costumes are borrowed to decorate the outers and shirts.

BRIEF
For this Autumn/Winter 2010-2011, PAINKILLER presents “ Azure” the monotone collection. The palette consists of different shades of Blue such as Bleu de France, Cobalt, Navy, Palatinate and Glaucous, with accent colors: Grey, Black and White.
In noble french, Azure means Blue but this word, in fact, is originated from Persian language Lazhward, which was the name of a place where people mine the deep blue stone called Lapis Lazuli.
INSPIRATION
Azure is inspired by a story “The Ebony Horse” featured in “One Thousand and One nights”. Just like a classic bedtime story, it’s about one Persian prince on his white horse, fighting the evil sultan to rescue the beautiful princess.
One small trait makes this folklore outstandingly interesting and avantgarde in its time, the white horse is a robot.
Yes, a giant horse carved out of ebony that could fly. The ancient vision of a Harley Davidson+Private Jet! Rose to the sky like a Pegasus without wings!
SILHOUETTE & MATERIALS
PAINKILLER propose new key pieces such as Harem Pants, Sweat Pants, Hooded Jacket, Hand- printed oxford shirts, Hand-printed poplin Thobe, cropped Jacket, Faux Perfecto Jacket, Sleek Vest and some T-shirts with hidden pockets.
Angle cut creates new vibe to classic pieces while Velvet ribbon decorations give hints of Persian inspiration. The golden zippers are for the “need for speed” touch.
The use of fabrics are upon comfort and function, the luxuriously soft fabrics such as Rayon, Velvet Sweat Jersey, Faux-silk draperies etc. add comfort whereas The coated-wool and the Merino add sharpness to clothes.
The bags are made of Genuine cow leather mixed with rough Gabardine, from the men’s clutch to the weekenders. Lighter weight is the key!
